When merino came onto the scene it was a game changer for backpack hunters. We no longer had to carry multiple base layers up the mountain and rotate them in an attempt to manage scent. However, in mountain conditions pure merino was fragile and after repeated washings would lose its structure. This has resulted in a race to figure out the best way to tweak merino yet retain its unique natural properties.

In search for the ultimate, we found a mill in Australia who has developed an innovative Core Spun technology. Taking pure merino and spinning it around an ultra-thin nylon filament has resulted in a new standard of performance. The inner nylon core increases durability and shape retention without the use of slow-drying spandex, allowing the merino to perform at its peak. With its high merino content, technical features, and athletic cut our Adapt 1/2 Zip is a dynamic piece built for any environment.
